Oh Fish Curry!

Ingredients:

  1. Fish 100 gm (any fish )
  2. Coriander seeds 2 tbspns 
  3. Cloves -2 
  4. Dry red chilies -3-4 (according the the pungency 0
  5. Dry coconut powder - 1 tbsp 
  6. Ginger garlic 1 tsp 
  7. Cinnamon - 1/2 inch 
  8. Pepper corns -1 tsp 
  9. Salt 
  10. Onions chopped - 2 tbsp 
  11. Tamarind pulp - 1 tsp 
  12. Coconut oil 1 - tbsp
  13. Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Dry roast all the spices except for onions ,ginger garlic and tamarind  .
  2. Once the spices are roasted ,keep them aside .Once cooled  grind them into fine powder .
  3. In a pan take coconut oil and onions, saute them till they are partially cooked . Add the ginger garlic and cook further .Switch off the flame and let the mix cool a bit .
  4. Add the cooked onion mix to the dry powder and grind to a smooth paste adding water . Put the paste back into the pan ,adjust salt and add tamarind pulp . Cover and cook for a while . 
  5. Add curry leaves and fish and simmer till the fish is done . 
  6. Serve with Steamed rice .
