"But ... but won't I become bulky? Will I not start looking as muscular as a man if I lifted weights?"
No, most certainly not." data-share-imageurl="">

A toned look and pretty curves. Does the thought of it give you goose bumps? If yes, you should head straight to that dreaded weight section of your gym.

"But ... but won't I become bulky? Will I not start looking as muscular as a man if I lifted weights?"
No, most certainly not. It takes years of hard work and loads of testosterone to look muscular and big like a man. Heck, how many muscular men have you really come across? You, beautiful ladies, are estrogen dominated. Naturally, it is not feasible for you to look like that.

"Okaaay, considering you are right; I should lift only light weights, right?"
Never ever shy away from heavy weights. If your goal is to tone up, ditch those light weights and lift heavy! Challenge yourself. Increase the reps and the weights. It will not only shape you up but also improve your strength and stamina.

"What about food?
Workout is just a part of the plan. Combined with nutrition, it ensures you attain the desired goals. A structured plan should include calculated calories apportioned across proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Protein is needed to gain those lean muscles whereas fats are integral to maintain an optimal hormonal balance.

"Ahan, this is starting to make sense but I have flabby arms. I want to get rid of them"
The most efficient way to achieve trimmed arms is to lose fat and gain lean muscle around them. It is possible only with a proper nutrition and balanced workout. Do your crunches, do the curls, and do not forget to squat and lunge. It will get you that curvaceous lower body you have always dreamt of!

So next time you step in that gym, say 'Hi' to your eternal love - the treadmill, move on and start your romance with the dumbbells and the weight section.
